The Baby Pantry is operated by the Child Abuse Prevention Council through a collaboration with The First Baptist Church located at 114 West Mason Street in Owosso. The program is open on the second and fourth Monday of each month from 11 AM to 7 PM.
The Pantry provides diapers and food through collaborations with the Shiawassee Hunger Network and FEMA.
The Baby Pantry is always in need of screened and trained volunteers. We are presently in need of parents to help design the Circle of Parents program and activities.

Donations
All monetary and in-kind cumulative donations of $500 or more will be recognized on our Donor Wall.
The Baby Pantry accepts new or slightly used items such as maternity clothing, infant and toddler clothing, baby furniture and equipment, and books. We are also in need of new layette items for newborn baby gifts.
Donations may be dropped off at The First Baptist Church of Owosso from 9-11 AM, Tuesday and Thrusday or at the Child Abuse Prevention Council office located at 1216 W. Main Street in Owosso from 9AM - 3PM, Monday through Friday.
Monetary donations can be mailed to the Council office. Council staff are available for community group presentations by contacting the office to enhance and expand our program.

About The Baby Pantry
The Baby Pantry is a partnership between the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Shiawassee County and The First Baptist Church of Owosso. We support parents by helping to meet the most basic needs for their infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Pantry volunteers model positive parenting through formal and informal interactions with clients.
The Baby Pantry provides parenting classes such as the Circle of Parents support groups to encourage positive parenting. These and other prevention presentations are provided through funding from private donations and the Michigan Children's Trust Fund.
